S.A.F.E OVER 60 is an equipment based, low impact exercise class where you can learn new things, develop confidence, laugh, listen to good music and have fun. Its a class where you can learn to work together and help eachother. In essence it is a fun, safe and comfortable environment where you can exercise towards maintaining or improving your independence and quality of life.
How it works:
. This class will last 1 hour
. Each class will begin and end with warmup and cool down stretches
. Each class will have 2 cycles of 6 exercise stations.
. Each station will benefit one of the following areas: muscle strength, balance, coordination, flexibility and fitness.
. Each station will have a variation in order to cater for those who have knee replacements, hip replacements etc
. The class instructor will be focused on correcting technique: preventing injury and ensuring full exercise benefits
. Exercises are changed weekly to provide variety
. Fun music!
